We had one of our other dogs trained by Well Mannered Dog Training Charleston, so when we got a puppy as a companion dog for our dog that was going blind we knew we wanted to have Well Mannered Dog Training take care of it. Our miniature schnauzer Duchess was in major need to have some training, we were having housebreaking issues, she would jump and play bite, pull you down the street on her leash and get into everything. We knew we needed help and quick.
Well Mannered Dog Training sent Tanya as our trainer, she was able to give us the advice that we needed and make us realize how important practice was if Duchess was going to learn everything she needed to. Since training she has gotten so much better, she still has her stubborn moments but now we know how to deal with them and let her know we mean business. She is a better dog for sure, housebreaking is going great and jumping is so much better, she walks like a lady on the leash, no biting on it or anything. Tanya gave us to the tools to let her know we are the bosses and she needs to listen when we tell her to do something. It did take work though, lots of practice and consistency.
We want to thank Well Mannered Dog Training and Tanya for coming to the rescue and showing us the proper way to handle things, it wasn’t always easy but the in end we got a well mannered dog that we enjoy being around and we are grateful. We would recommend Well Mannered Dog Training to anyone who wants to see results and make their dog a better dog.
Thanks a lot!
