About Serana Dialogue Add-on Mod - Skyrim Special Edition Discussion All rights reserved. Did it for sure this time. A patch for the Relationship Dialogue Overhaul mod; this patch prevents dialogue overlap in a lot of Serana's radiant dialogue added by RDO, to ensure a consistent VA experience with Serana's radiant lines. - (For the ESL Version) Moved forward armor keyword changes (already present in Crimson Blood ESL versions), updated the keywords, dropped the armor rating to the same as the original light armor file, Minor update with small fixes and optimizations, - Tweaked conditions on daily adventuring conversation to increase likehood of the prompt to appear, - Moved "Let's call it a day" dialogue to it's own consolidated branch, as it didn't really make sense for it to be with the more extensive conversations, - Some minor backend tweaks to help make future mod development easier, - Partial implementation of lockpicking commentary (disabled for now). Edits out some of the dialogue Serana Dialogue Edit adds, as to not thematically conflict with the additions my mod makes to similar dialogue branches (currently Hellos and Combat Idles). - Fixed issue of AA records not copying over for the leggings, - Two Civil War Lines re-recorded for lore consistency, - New conversations with Serana implemented, -Serana's vampirism feeding, favorite book, hobbies, commentary after curing her vampirism, -Singing functionality (after prerequisite hobbies conversation completed, she sings The Dragonborn Comes (assuming player has already been formally recognized as such)), - Immersive radiant sound effects: While exploring, Serana will tend to sneeze, hum, and/or cough every so often. - Coded in some Drinking Buddies content (disabled for now, as it's still very much a WIP), - Disabled old and buggy content from previous SDA versions, - Serana no longer talks to you about marriage anymore (vanilla conversation) if you've already married her. - Fixed inverted dialogue toggles for Serana's "Be Quiet" dialogue. *woot woot! Serana will still eventually be attracted to the player (should the player have chosen the romance route) but this will be shown more organically and Serana should come off as less horny and/or player-pandering. Additionally, Serana Dialogue Add-On will not be compatible with mods that change "DLC1NPCMonitoringPlayerScript and DLC1_NPCMentalModelScript". Decreased Inigo and Sofia banter frequency by 25%, Main Quest commentary fixes, particularly with Ustengrav quest, Fixed disappearing "I love you" dialogue option, Fixed House of Horrors commentary issues, Code optimizations for Companions Quest Commentary, (besides fixes) Code optimizations for House of Horrors Quest Commentary, Serana will no longer say negative Companions lines in her radiant greets if you've told her you've chosen to cure them of their lycanthropy, Improved coding practices also applied to new content (CoW and DB quest commentary), Code improvements to main SDA Dialogue Quest Record. - Repurposed existing SDA conversations ((Stories on the Island, Shop, "How does it feel to be a vampire" dialogue) for Drinking Buddies- you can now talk to Serana about these topics through the Drinking Buddies feature! dialogue this mod has, so that it's less spammy. - Disabled Serana Romance as a requirement for the Kindred Judgement conversation, as it also works thematically for a platonic relationship, - Tweaked some conditions on radiant hello lines to be more thematically in line with Serana's character development throughout Dawnguard, - Fixed some issues with OStim integration. The former song acts as a universal entry or starting point for Serana's song capabilities, as previously, "The Dragonborn Comes" would only be available to Dragonborn players. Too much was cut that some parts of the conversation didn't make any sense. - Script fixes for SDA Player Background Dialogue (some didn't correctly set the quest stage), - Marked Ysolda as essential as I need her alive for the Bannered Mare quest, - Improvements to Lockpick Commentary Script, - Fixes with Radiant Commentary for DG Quests (both sides). - Redone the code of the Haunted House quest commentary, so that there now aren't any compatibility issues with other mods which edit the same quest. (you can find the list on my website). Bad news; still gives a black screen upon RE-loading that save (it will work the first time). - It is important to note that these quests are optional, and do have different outcomes. If she can't wait, Serana's wait functionality will just be suspended - though this may create some wonkiness, so I suggest you do not complete the Diplomatic Immunity quest with Serana, or use the sleep feature once Chasing Echoes is active. The romance shouldn't have conflicts story-wise, as your Dawnguard side is not directly referred to in a lot of these romance dialogues with Serana. The writing for a lot of these conversations has improved, and Kerstyn's voice should now feel more synergistic with how she voices the Serana character now. Serana has a few lines relevant to your character's race that you would miss playing as custom race, this fixes by updating the conditions to check for custom race keywords. - Serana no longer drinks a blood potion (visibly) if she is not following the player. - Added AlternateVoice flags to Kerstyn dialogue which previously didn't have any, - Added workarounds to prevent the Serana dialogue looping animation, - Removed "Say Once" condition to Serana Vampire conversation so the player will be able to experience it more than once, - Miscellaneous backend code improvements, - Serana won't greet you with her radiant greets when in the Castle Volkihar Boss room, - She also won't greet you if you're currently in dialogue with another NPC (soft-requires SKSE, only on Oldrim/SSE), - Serana will no longer engage in quest commentary if the player is speaking to another NPC, - Serana will no longer stand up and do weird dialogue animations while she's sitting down (mostly with WhatsOnYourMind dialogue), - Decreased frequency of Serana sneak greets, as to not irritate the player, - Serana will no longer talk to NPCs (NPC Banter) while sneaking. - Removed dialogue cooldown for Serana recap dialogue. Because the Serana marriage in this mod is treated very differently from typical vanilla marriage, both role-play wise and gameplay wise. The player can now role-play as someone who remained unaffected by Serana's calm spell, but chose to play along. The friendship requirement stays the same. - Added quest-aware commentary if you take Serana along with you to Alfthand and Blackreach to find the Dragon Elder Scroll. - Script fixes for some Serana wait stuff, like whenever she's called to wait when the Dawnguard questline tells her not to. This allows her to converse with the player better when she needs to. - Condition adjustments for some dialogue lines, - A bunch of backend tweaks to make future development easier, - Moved location commentary out of the "Can I Talk to you for a bit" dialogue option, and into its own dialogue branch, - Changed "House of Horrors" dialogue to a ForceGreet under it's own quest entry so it would fire off to the player more reliably. Mod support from mods like Apocalypse is eventually planned, so stay tuned for that! (SDA_MainDialogue record), - Tweaked conditions for Serana's Arcaneum dialogue so that it can be triggered earlier (First Lessons doesn't need to be completed), - Text dialogue tweaks (from player) for consistency, - Delayed Teleport Spell dialogue to only occur after the Tracking Marker talk has been had to free up dialogue menu clutter, - Tweaked player background conversation to not be repeatable (Serana doesn't need to learn about the player's background more than once), - Serana will only seem knowledgeable (comment on the current state of the world and Elder Scrolls lore) if she has been to the Arcaneum at least once. LL version still to come. This way, you should almost exclusively hear Laura Bailey's voice lines during Dawnguard quests, and for everything out of those quests, Kerstyn's lines.
